The Kid with a Bike
Drama87 min
After his father leaves him in a group home, 12-year-old Cyril (Thomas Doret) becomes consumed with finding both the man and the bicycle he believes is still waiting for him. In Seraing, Belgium, he bolts through the city in bursts of anger and hope, refusing to accept that he has been abandoned. Cécile de France's Samantha, a hairdresser he barely knows, unexpectedly offers to care for him on weekends, giving Cyril a fragile point of stability. As he keeps reaching for his father, played by Jérémie Renier, the film stays close to the boy's restless, impulsive search for someone who won't let go of him.
