After a shattering loss, an ATS officer finds an unexpected ally in a wheelchair-bound chess grandmaster, and their shared grief turns into a search for justice. Farhan Akhtar's officer is drawn into the older man's world of strategy and patience, while Amitabh Bachchan is the brilliant player who starts guiding him through a far more dangerous game off the board. As the two men help each other pursue unfinished business, a hidden opponent begins moving from the shadows. Aditi Rao Hydari and Neil Nitin Mukesh appear in a Hindi thriller that threads chess imagery through its crime plot.
