After his owner dumps him on the streets, Reggie is still convinced the man would never abandon him on purpose. Will Ferrell is Reggie, a Border Terrier whose loyalty starts to crack when he falls in with Jamie Foxx’s Bug, a fast-talking stray who thinks owners are for suckers. As Bug introduces him to life without a home, Reggie begins to see Doug for what he is and teams up with a rough-edged pack of dogs for a revenge mission with one very specific target. The setup turns cute talking-pet territory into something much cruder, with plenty of filthy banter aimed at Reggie’s awful former owner.
