A Mexican oilfield has a graboid problem, and the workers are running out of safe ground. Earl Bassett, one of the few people who has survived these underground killers before, takes the job of wiping them out and heads south expecting another dangerous but manageable hunt. Instead, each attempt to track and trap the creatures turns the site into a bigger hazard, with rigs, open ground, and panicked crews all working against him. As the body count threat rises, Earl has to improvise with limited help and whatever weapons or bait he can scrape together. Fred Ward returns as Earl in a sequel that turns a remote worksite into a moving target.
