Steve Jobs

Drama122 min

Instead of tracing Steve Jobs from garage to boardroom, the film catches him in the minutes before three major Apple launches, from the 1984 Macintosh to the 1998 iMac. Michael Fassbender is Jobs, brilliant and exacting, fielding clashes with colleagues, former partners, and his young daughter just as the curtain is about to rise. Kate Winslet’s Joanna Hoffman stays at his side as each presentation threatens to come apart, and Seth Rogen appears as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Built around tense backstage confrontations, the story narrows the digital revolution to a series of high-pressure rooms and the people forced to deal with Jobs up close.
