Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid
DramaWestern106 min
Pat Garrett is hired by wealthy New Mexico cattle barons to serve as a lawman and bring in his old friend Billy the Kid. James Coburn is Garrett, older now and tied to the people trying to tame the territory, while Kris Kristofferson’s Billy moves through the same landscape as an outlaw who hasn’t stepped aside. Sam Peckinpah turns their chase into a story of friendship curdling under pressure, with every meeting shadowed by shared history and changing power in the West. Katy Jurado, Slim Pickens, and Bob Dylan appear along the way as Garrett closes in.
