Looking for space outside New York, Cooper and Leah Tilson buy a decaying mansion in the country, complete with the previous owner’s furniture, damage, and local history. Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone are the married couple at the center of the move, trying to turn the property into a home while a run of unsettling incidents suggests the house hasn’t been left behind so easily. When the estate’s former owner, Dale Massie (Stephen Dorff), reappears and makes it clear he still has a hold on the place, the Tilsons find themselves caught between a hostile past and whatever still lingers inside Cold Creek Manor.
