Mr. Holmes
CrimeDramaFamilyMysteryThriller104 min
In 1947, a long-retired Sherlock Holmes is living in Sussex, tending bees and struggling with a memory that no longer serves him. Ian McKellen is Holmes at 93, trying to reconstruct the final case that led him away from detective work while chasing the fading memory of a woman who still haunts him. Laura Linney’s Mrs. Munro keeps the household running, and her sharp, curious son Roger (Milo Parker) becomes Holmes’s closest companion as the old detective pieces together what he missed, what he forgot, and what his own mind can no longer fully hold.
