Prey

In the Comanche Nation of the northern Great Plains in 1719, Amber Midthunder is Naru, a skilled young hunter who sets out to protect her camp when something deadly begins stalking the land. The prey she tracks turns out to be an alien predator armed with weapons far beyond anything she knows, forcing her into a hunt where stealth, instinct, and knowledge of the terrain matter as much as strength. Dakota Beavers appears among the people around Naru as the story moves through camp life, open prairie, and close-quarters clashes with a creature that hunts for sport.
