The Darjeeling Limited

ActionAdventureComedyDrama92 min

A year after their father’s funeral, three American brothers reunite in India for a train trip meant to fix what they haven’t said to each other. Owen Wilson is Francis, the eldest, whose laminated itinerary turns the voyage into a planned spiritual exercise; Adrien Brody’s Peter and Jason Schwartzman’s Jack arrive with their own grudges, nerves, and distractions. In Wes Anderson’s film, the ride across India keeps slipping off schedule, as family arguments, over-the-counter painkillers, Indian cough syrup, and a can of pepper spray send the brothers’ attempt at reconnection in stranger directions.
