In a Lansing motel room, Jon (Robert Sean Leonard), a first-time filmmaker in town for a festival, reunites with Vince, the high school friend he hasn't seen in 10 years. Ethan Hawke's Vince arrives with jokes, bravado, and a lot to say, but the visit turns into a reckoning as old jealousy and a serious accusation from their teenage years resurface. When Uma Thurman enters as the third friend tied to that history, the reunion shifts from needling conversation to a direct confrontation over what each of them remembers, what they've denied, and what they're willing to admit.
