After moving to Romania with her husband, Julia starts to feel isolated in a city where she doesn’t speak the language. Maika Monroe is Julia, a young actress who becomes convinced that a man in the apartment building across the street is watching her. As news spreads of a serial killer targeting women, her unease hardens into suspicion. Burn Gorman is the stranger in the window, while Julia’s husband pushes to settle into their new life and questions what she’s seeing. The film stays close to apartment hallways, city streets, and the uneasy gap between being dismissed and being right.
