The Defiant Ones
ActionAdventureCrimeDramaThriller96 min
After a prison escape in the American South, two convicts who can barely stand each other find themselves still bound together by a length of chain. Tony Curtis is Joker Jackson, a white prisoner on the run; beside him, Sidney Poitier's Noah Cullen has no choice but to match his pace through swamps, rail yards, and back roads as a posse closes in. What begins as a scramble for freedom keeps tightening around race, pride, and survival, with every mile forcing the two men into an uneasy dependence.
