Martian Child
ComedyDramaFamily106 min
A recently widowed science fiction writer begins considering adoption when he meets a hyper-imaginative 6-year-old who says he’s really from Mars. John Cusack is the novelist, still off balance in his own life, as he tries to understand a child whose fears, rituals, and certainty make even ordinary routines complicated. Bobby Coleman centers the boy with a mix of vulnerability and stubborn conviction, while Amanda Peet and Joan Cusack are among the people around them as the writer weighs grief, responsibility, and what it would mean to build a family with a child no one else quite knows how to reach.
