Before the Fall

DramaThrillerWar117 min

In 1942 Germany, Friedrich Weimer wins a place at a NaPolA, the boarding schools built to train the Nazi elite, and defies his father to enroll. Max Riemelt is Friedrich, a gifted boxer whose new status at the academy exposes him to hazing, punishment, and the regime's code of obedience. His closest bond forms with Albrecht, the governor's son; Tom Schilling gives the friendship an uneasy shape as the school's discipline and ideology press in. What begins as a prized opportunity narrows into a harsh education in loyalty, hierarchy, and violence.
