Hitler: A Career

Documentary150 min

Adolf Hitler is the focus of this 1977 German documentary, which follows his unlikely rise from the margins of 1920s politics to control of Nazi Germany and the shaping of the Third Reich. Rather than stop at biography, the film examines propaganda, public performance, and the mass psychology that let a desperate population be manipulated at scale. Eva Braun and Winston Churchill are among the historical figures woven through the account as it moves through the 1930s and 1940s, keeping its attention on how power was assembled, displayed, and accepted.
