Peter Sellers is Hrundi V. Bakshi, an accident-prone actor who wrecks a film shoot and, through a mix-up, winds up on the guest list for a Hollywood producer’s party. Once he arrives, every attempt to be polite or stay unnoticed sends the evening further off course, as spilled drinks, mistaken impressions, and one small disaster after another ripple through the house. Directed by Blake Edwards, the film keeps its focus on Sellers’s physical comedy and the mounting chaos of a single night inside a very self-important Hollywood crowd.
