Captured in World War II and sent to a German POW camp, young lieutenant Tommy Hart (Colin Farrell), a law student in civilian life, finds himself pulled between military hierarchy and a murder case inside the wire. Bruce Willis is Col. William McNamara, the ranking American officer, who orders Hart to defend Terrence Howard's Lt. Lincoln Scott, a Black pilot accused of killing a fellow prisoner. As the camp prepares for a tense trial under enemy watch, McNamara is also shaping a risky plan to keep fighting from captivity.
