While vacationing in Thailand, former CIA operative Jake learns his daughter has been kidnapped, and he refuses to leave the rescue to the CIA. Steven Seagal is Jake, following the trail with Sunti (Byron Mann) as it leads them to Abu Karaf leader Mongkol and to Jantapan, a figure tightening his hold on the narcotics and arms trade in the wake of 9/11. The action moves through covert contacts, armed confrontations, and hand-to-hand fights, with Monica Lo and Tom Wu among the faces Jake encounters as the hunt pulls him deeper into a criminal and spiritual power struggle.
