Kill Your Darlings

CrimeDramaRomanceThriller104 min

At Columbia in 1944, freshman Allen Ginsberg is pulled from campus routine into Lucien Carr’s bohemian circle of drinkers, writers, and provocateurs. Daniel Radcliffe is Allen, shy and still searching for a voice as he falls under Lucien’s spell; Dane DeHaan’s Lucien moves through dorm rooms, jazz clubs, and late-night arguments with the charm that gathers future Beat figures Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs around him. As Allen’s fascination deepens, so does the tension around an older hanger-on whose fixation on Lucien pushes the group toward the murder that will mark their lives and work.
