The Amateur

ActionAdventureThriller127 min

CIA decoder Charlie Heller works out of a basement office at Langley until a London terrorist attack kills his wife and his superiors refuse to pursue those responsible. Rami Malek is Charlie, a brilliant but deeply introverted analyst who leaves his desk behind and starts his own hunt. As he moves across borders, he relies on codebreaking, planning, and nerve instead of field training, turning an intelligence worker into a reluctant vigilante while staying ahead of the people now tracking him.
