An elderly man in an East Texas nursing home insists he’s the real Elvis Presley, not an impersonator, and that a long-ago identity swap left him stranded in obscurity. Bruce Campbell is the white-jumpsuit king, now cranky, aching, and stuck among fellow residents who mostly tune him out. His closest ally is Ossie Davis’s Jack, who claims he’s John F. Kennedy after a bizarre government cover-up. When a string of strange deaths points to an ancient Egyptian mummy haunting the facility, the two old men set out to stop it before more souls are taken. The setup folds nursing-home decline, offbeat conspiracy talk, and monster-movie horror into the same frame.
