Daybreakers

ActionAdventureFantasyHorrorSci-FiThriller98 min

By 2019, a plague has turned nearly the entire human race into vampires, and the few people left are being hunted as the blood supply runs dry. Ethan Hawke is Edward Dalton, a vampire researcher trying to engineer a substitute before shortages push this new society into panic and violence. His work inside a corporate blood industry collides with a covert resistance and with Elvis (Willem Dafoe), a former vampire tied to a possible cure. Daybreakers builds its dystopian future around empty daylight streets, underground labs, and a species facing extinction from the very epidemic that remade the world.
