The Rite
DramaHorrorMysteryThriller114 min
Seminary student Michael Kovak reluctantly heads to Rome for exorcism school at the Vatican, still skeptical of the calling that brought him there. Colin O'Donoghue is Michael, a doubter pulled into cases he can't easily explain, while Father Lucas (Anthony Hopkins) is the seasoned priest whose methods are anything but textbook. As Michael follows Lucas into hospital rooms, private rites, and the Church's most guarded corners, the film ties questions of faith to signs of possession and the possibility that evil has reached even one of the holiest places on Earth. Inspired by true events.
