Happiness for Beginners

ActionAdventureComedyDramaRomance103 min

Newly divorced and unsure what comes next, schoolteacher Helen signs up for a backcountry survival course on the Appalachian Trail, hoping a hard reset will be easier to manage than the rest of her life. Ellie Kemper is Helen, a careful planner suddenly stuck with rough terrain, camp rules, and a group of strangers who don’t share her need for control. Luke Grimes is among the hikers she has to keep pace with as the trip turns muddier, messier, and more personal than she expected. What starts as an organized challenge quickly becomes a test of how Helen handles being lost, off schedule, and out of her usual routines.
