Taxi
ActionAdventureComedyCrime89 min
A Marseille speed demon finally gets his taxi license, then immediately risks losing it when the police catch him on a massive speeding violation. Samy Naceri is Daniel, a former pizza delivery rider whose souped-up cab makes him the one person inspector Emilien can use against a crew of German bank robbers. Frédéric Diefenthal’s Emilien, meanwhile, is a police officer who can barely drive, turning the chase into a mismatched partnership between a street racer and a flustered cop. The action stays rooted in Marseille, with bank heists, police pursuits, and Daniel’s taxi darting through the city at full tilt.
