Across three eras, the cursed puzzle box passes through the bloodline of the toymaker who first built it, linking an 18th-century aristocrat, a present-day architect, and a man on a space station in the future. Each generation tries to understand or undo the device’s connection to the Cenobites, but opening the box keeps inviting something worse in. As the family’s attempts to control their creation spiral, the story moves from salons and city mansions to a sealed station built for a final confrontation. Doug Bradley returns as Pinhead, the force at the center of the box’s torment, while Bruce Ramsay carries the family line through the film’s shifting timelines.
