Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of plans for the future and finds his family struggling and his own path suddenly uncertain. Xolo Maridueña is Jaime, whose life veers when an ancient relic of alien biotechnology called the Scarab chooses him as its host, encasing him in a suit of armor with extraordinary, unpredictable powers. As Jaime scrambles to figure out what the Scarab has turned him into, the upheaval pulls in everyone around him, with George Lopez and Adriana Barraza among the people caught up in his new reality.
