The Dreamer - Becoming Karen Blixen
Drama44 min per episode
In 1930s Denmark, Karen Blixen returns to her childhood home after years in East Africa, broke, ill, and divorced, and begins the difficult work of rebuilding a life on her own terms. The series follows her as family expectations and social pressures close in around a woman who has not yet become the literary figure history remembers. Connie Nielsen and Lars Mikkelsen are among the key faces in Blixen’s orbit, as the story stays close to her search for independence, purpose, and a place beyond the roles others have chosen for her.
