The Double
ComedyDramaMysterySci-FiThriller93 min
Simon James is a timid office worker drifting through a bleak bureaucratic city, barely noticed at work or at home, until a new hire arrives with his exact face. Jesse Eisenberg is both Simon and the confident, manipulative James, whose easy charm starts winning over Simon’s boss, his co-workers, and the woman he desires. Opposite him, Mia Wasikowska is the object of Simon’s fixation. The doppelgänger premise unfolds in a strange, airless world of humming offices, cramped apartments, and shadowy corridors, where the routines of work and loneliness start to close in on him.
