Mufasa: The Lion King
ActionAdventureAnimationDramaFamilyMusical120 min
Lost and alone, the cub Mufasa meets Taka, an heir to a royal bloodline, and their chance encounter sends a group of young lions and strays across the wild as their loyalties are tested. Aaron Pierre is the young Mufasa, while Kelvin Harrison Jr.'s Taka becomes his first ally in a story told in flashback by Rafiki to Kiara, the daughter of Simba and Nala. Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner return as Timon and Pumbaa, threading familiar humor through the retelling, and Barry Jenkins directs the photoreal animated prequel to Mufasa's rise in the Pride Lands.
