Journey 2: The Mysterious Island

ActionAdventureComedyFamilyFantasySci-Fi94 min

When teenager Sean Anderson picks up a coded distress signal from an island that shouldn’t exist, he sets out to find his missing grandfather before the whole place slips beneath the sea. Josh Hutcherson is Sean, and Dwayne Johnson is the wary stepfather who joins the search rather than let him go alone. A helicopter pilot (Luis Guzmán) and his daughter, played by Vanessa Hudgens, round out the expedition. What they find is a fantastical island of mountains of gold, giant lizards, strange wildlife, and volcanic danger, turning a family rescue mission into a race against collapsing terrain and rising water.
