When a Stranger Calls

HorrorThriller87 min

Far from the site of a gruesome murder, teenager Jill Johnson takes what should be an ordinary babysitting job at a large, secluded house. Camilla Belle is Jill, settling in with the children asleep upstairs when the phone starts ringing and a stranger’s voice turns the night threatening. Cut off from the outside and left to wonder whether the danger is at the door or already inside, Jill moves through the house room by room as the calls keep coming. Katie Cassidy and Clark Gregg appear around the edges of a story built almost entirely on one young woman, one house, and a steadily shrinking sense of safety.
