Ethan Hawke is Vincent, born outside a future society where genetic selection determines status and ambition. Shut out as an “In-Valid,” he adopts the identity of a genetically favored man to enter the elite Gattaca Aerospace Corporation and chase a place on an upcoming space mission, with Jude Law tied closely to the DNA-based deception that keeps him there. When a murder inside the company brings investigators to the scene, Vincent’s routine tests, blood samples, and daily precautions suddenly carry much higher stakes. Uma Thurman appears as a co-worker whose growing closeness threatens to expose what Vincent has built.
