Rohit Mehra is a young man with developmental disabilities whose late father's attempts to contact life beyond Earth lead him to an extraterrestrial visitor named Jadoo. Hrithik Roshan centers the film as Rohit, whose bond with the alien begins to change the shape of his daily life, while Preity Zinta's Nisha starts as a friend and becomes part of his emotional world. Rekha's presence as Rohit's mother keeps the story rooted in family as it moves between romance, domestic drama, and science fiction sparked by one unfinished experiment.
