Angels in the Outfield

ComedyDramaFamilyFantasy103 min

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Roger, a foster child hanging his hopes on an impossible baseball season: his father says they’ll be a family again when the California Angels win the pennant. With the team buried in last place, Roger prays for help — and an angel named Al (Christopher Lloyd) answers. As the Angels begin to turn things around, the movie ties clubhouse confusion and on-field surprises to Roger’s private hope that a winning streak might change his life off the diamond too.
