The Trygon Factor

The story

A Scotland Yard detective investigating a string of robberies and a murder is led to the Emberday estate, where a wealthy family shares its mansion with a group of nuns. Stewart Granger is Superintendent Cooper, arriving at a house full of formal manners, hidden connections, and people who seem to be concealing more than they admit. Susan Hampshire and Robert Morley are among the faces at the estate as Cooper follows clues through the family and the convent-like household. What begins as a police inquiry into theft widens into a mystery around the Emberdays and the women living under their roof.
