A journalist and a photographer trace the life of Savitri, the actress who became Telugu cinema's first female superstar. Keerthy Suresh is Savitri, following her rise through the South Indian film world of the 1950s and '60s as fame, marriage, and public scrutiny reshape her life. Dulquer Salmaan's Gemini Ganesan enters as a major figure in that story, while Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda frame it from the present as they piece together the woman behind the screen legend.
