Eight lonely adults move through an interwoven search for love, each hoping the right relationship might finally make life feel complete. Shu Qi and Mark Chao are among the ensemble as separate romances, flirtations, and disappointments begin to overlap, gradually revealing how connected these lives really are. Wei Zhao and Amber Kuo also figure into the film’s web of shifting couples and missed connections, with each storyline circling the same question: whether intimacy can cure the isolation each character is carrying. Told in Mandarin, the film follows multiple perspectives rather than a single central couple, letting its relationships intersect as the story unfolds.
