Muslum

DramaRomance136 min

Müslüm Gürses (Timuçin Esen) grows up in a poor household and finds his way to music while the trauma of his early life follows him into adulthood. The film traces his rise to fame in Turkey, where his sorrow-filled songs and public persona earn him a devoted following that calls him “Baba.” As success builds, the story keeps one eye on the grief shaping both the man and the performer, with Zerrin Tekindor among the figures in his orbit. Biography, romance, and music all feed into the portrait of an artist whose career and private life are tightly bound.
