Rumor Has It...

ComedyDramaRomance97 min

Jennifer Aniston is Sarah Huttinger, a newspaper obituary writer whose trip home for her sister’s wedding upends both her engagement and her family history. After hearing that her mother and grandmother may have inspired The Graduate, Sarah starts to wonder whether the affair behind that story is also the story of her own birth. Chasing a rumor that stretches back decades, she zeroes in on Beau Burroughs (Kevin Costner), a wealthy family friend who may know more than he’s saying. Wedding-weekend nerves, old secrets, and a steadily more tangled family triangle drive the story from Los Angeles privilege to Pasadena dysfunction.
