Dave Chappelle: The Closer
Comedy72 min
Dave Chappelle takes the stage to close out his slate of comedy specials, using the set to try to set the record straight and get a few things off his chest. Recorded at Detroit’s Fillmore, the performance keeps the focus on Chappelle and a live crowd as he moves between personal stories, cultural commentary, and direct responses to the debates surrounding his recent work. With a blackboard behind him and a stripped-down stage, the special centers on Chappelle’s voice, timing, and willingness to turn the conversation back on himself.
