Easy Virtue

ComedyRomance97 min

After a whirlwind marriage in Monte Carlo, young Englishman John Whittaker brings his new wife home to his family’s estate, where her glamour and American frankness collide with the rigid manners of 1920s England. Jessica Biel is Larita, a Jazz Age racecar driver who arrives like a disruption no one in the Whittaker household is prepared for. Ben Barnes’s John is caught between his bride and a family determined to keep its order intact, especially his formidable mother, played by Kristin Scott Thomas. Colin Firth rounds out the household as Mr. Whittaker, whose response to Larita differs sharply from the rest of the family.
