Hidalgo

ActionAdventureDramaWestern136 min

In 1890, Pony Express rider Frank Hopkins travels to Arabia with his mustang, Hidalgo, to enter a punishing cross-desert race against riders mounted on prized Arabian horses. Viggo Mortensen is Hopkins, an American outsider dropped into a high-stakes contest where the terrain is as dangerous as the competition. As the race stretches across vast desert country for a massive prize, Frank and Hidalgo are pulled into local rivalries and the power surrounding the event, with Zuleikha Robinson and Omar Sharif among the figures he encounters along the way.
