On a farm in Kansas, a couple who could never have children find a baby after a mysterious object falls from the sky and raise him as their own. As Brandon reaches adolescence, strange urges and violent impulses begin to surface alongside abilities no human should have. What first looks like a miracle turns into a threat inside their own home, as his mother clings to the boy she loves and his father starts to fear what he is becoming. With Elizabeth Banks and David Denman as the parents trying to understand him, the story turns the familiar origin of a gifted outsider into something far darker.
