From the Roswell crash in 1944 to the early 2000s, the story follows three families whose lives keep circling the same buried secret. The Crawfords are tied to a government effort to hide evidence of extraterrestrials, the Keys are repeatedly taken and experimented on, and the Clarkes once sheltered a surviving alien from the crash. Dakota Fanning and Joel Gretsch are among the faces in an ensemble that moves across decades of sightings, cover-ups, and family fallout, as one generation after another inherits pieces of what happened in the desert.
