Eight strangers in cities around the world suddenly become mentally and emotionally linked, able to see, hear, and draw on one another’s skills as if they were in the same room. As they struggle to understand what is happening, the connection turns their private crises into a shared fight: one is hiding from a violent past, another is trapped by family expectations, others are dealing with love, identity, money, and the law. Their bond offers comfort and survival, but it also makes them visible to people who see them as a threat. Tuppence Middleton and Brian J. Smith are among the members of the cluster learning how to stay alive together.
