The Guard

ActionAdventureComedyCrimeDramaThriller96 min

In rural Ireland, a foul-mouthed local cop is forced into an unlikely partnership when an FBI agent arrives to investigate an international drug-smuggling ring. Brendan Gleeson’s small-town guard treats murder scenes, blackmail, and police procedure with the same sideways indifference, while Don Cheadle’s visiting federal agent sticks to the book. As the case widens to include a dangerous gang and corruption close to home, their clashing methods become one more problem to manage.
