Martin

DramaHorror95 min

Martin, a troubled young man who believes he’s a vampire, is sent to live with an elderly, openly hostile cousin in a small Pennsylvania town, where every attempt to resist his bloodlust feels temporary. John Amplas keeps Martin unsettlingly opaque, while Lincoln Maazel brings a hard, old-world severity to the household around him. Written and directed by George A. Romero, the film strips the vampire story down to razor blades, lonely streets, family suspicion, and the question of whether Martin’s hunger is supernatural or something more human.
