Sleeping with the Enemy
CrimeDramaThriller99 min
Laura Burney fakes her own death to escape a meticulously controlled, violent marriage and disappears from Cape Cod to small-town Iowa. Julia Roberts is Laura, trying to build a quieter life under a new identity, while Patrick Bergin’s Martin refuses to accept that his wife is gone. As Laura settles into a new routine and grows close to a local drama teacher, Ben (Kevin Anderson), the careful habits that once kept her safe become part of a new life shadowed by fear.
